Material: old silk (kimono and obi, mostly for funeral use), new cotton, corduroy, upholstery fabric

Statement: This uses a Japanese decorative pattern (noshi) based on paper strips knotted together. In this quilt we do not see the knots or they way they are set in motion; all we can see are the ends of the strips overlapping peculiar angles, some straight and others not.
