Material: Old Japanese cotton (aizome) for background, other fabrics: new cotton ( including hand-painted), new Cambodian silk, new Indonesian cotton, for the brighter areas, Sashiko thread

Techniques: Machine piecing, hand quilting, hand embroidery

Statement: For a change this quilt does not include applique. Narrow strips were used in a diamond-shaped Log Cabin pattern. I learned that it is almost impossible to make the strips entirely even, but fortunately the pattern is still visible. This was a good lesson for me.
